Biography

Katya is a movement director, contemporary dancer and model working between Sydney and London. With a background in ballet and contemporary dance, she launched her professional career in Europe, performing internationally before expanding into the world of fashion and film.

Over the past four years, Katya has built a dynamic presence in the fashion industry, working with brands and publications such as Furla, Issey Miyake, Zimmermann, Country Road, Vogue Australia, Vogue Scandinavia, Elle Italia, Elle UK, and Self Service, as well as the band The 1975. Her extensive experience as a model gives her a distinctive edge in movement direction, allowing her to bring fluidity, expression, and storytelling to high-fashion campaigns and editorial shoots.

In 2020, she founded Configuration Co., a nonprofit contemporary dance company dedicated to innovative movement storytelling. Whether directing models on set or choreographing for the stage and screen, Katya’s work is driven by a deep understanding of physicality, emotion, and visual composition.
